The Fellowship of the Ring was chosen by the Library of Congress in 2021 for inclusion in the United States National Film Registry because it was Culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.
Rings of Power
Power of rings Unbeknownst to them, The Dark Lord Sauron creates the one Ring on the Mount Doom by pouring a significant amount of his power into it in an effort to control the other the Rings and to ultimately conquer Middle-earth. In Mordor Sauron’s forces are fought by a last coalition of Men and Elves. isildur of Gondor cuts off Sauron’s finger and the Ring along with it, defeating Sauron and transforming him back into a spirit. The third age of Middle-earth starts with the first defeat of Sauron. Isildur becomes corrupted by the Ring’s power, claims it for himself, and is subsequently assassinated by orcs. The Ring gets misplaced in a river for 2,500 Years before being discovered by Gollum, who has owned it for more than 450 Years and after 60 years, Bilbo returns to the shire to celebrate his 111th birthday with his old buddy/Friends.
The wizard Gandalf the Grey, after leaving the Shire for one final journey, Bilbo bequeaths his inheritance which includes the Ring to his nephew Frodo & Gandalf analyses the Ring and learns its actual nature. He also learns that Gollum was kidnapped and tortured by the Sauron’s Orcs, who got him to say the phrases “Shire” and “Baggins” throughout the process and returning, Gandalf advises Frodo to leave the Shire. Samwise Gamgee, a gardener, joins Frodo as they leave, and Gandalf rides to Isengard to meet with the wizard Saruman. However, he learns of Saruman’s partnership with Sauron, who has sent his nine zombie Nazgûl servants to find the Frodo.
The Merry and Pippin, two other hobbits, join Frodo and Sam as they escape the Nazgul and make their own way to Bree, where they are supposed to meet Gandalf, however, never shows up because he was captured by the Saruman. The Nazgul attack the hobbits on Weathertop, and their leader, Witch King, stabs Frodo with a Morgul blade. The hobbits are subsequently helped by a the Ranger named Strider, who vows to guide them to Rivendell. The Strider’s beloved Arwen, an elf, finds Strider and saves Frodo by conjuring floodwaters that drive the Nazgul away, She brings him to Rivendell, where the Elves heal him. Gandalf, having left Isengard on a Great Eagle, greets Frodo. The Strider and Arwen re-unite that evening, and they declare their love to each other. The Arwen’s father, Lord Elrond, chooses against to retaining the Ring in Rivendell in light of the threat posed by both Sauron and Saruman. He convenes a council of Elves Men and Dwarves, with Frodo and the Gandalf present, and they have been decided that the Ring must be burned in the Mount Doom flash fires. Along with Gandalf, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir of Gondor, and Strider—who is the actually Aragorn, Isildur’s heir and the legitimate King of Gondor—Frodo offers to take the Ring. A mithril-chainmail shirt and his sword Sting are gifts from Bilbo, who is now a Resident of Rivendell.
Based on the Novel which was written by Mr. J. R. R. Tolkien – The Fellowship of the Rings heads for the Gap of Rohan but finds that the Saruman’s spies are keeping an eye on it. Instead of they decide to travel over the Caradhras mountain pass but the Saruman sends a heavy storm their way and forcing them to walk through the Mines of Moria. Orcs and a cave troll assault the Fellowship after they discover the Moria Dwarves dead. They manage to repel them, but then they run upon Durin’s Bane, a Balrog that lives in the mines. Gandalf fights off the Balrog and casts it into a deep abyss while the others flee, but the Balrog drags Gandalf down with him into the shadows.
When the shattered Fellowship arrives in Lothlorien, the ELF queen Galadriel tells frodo in private that only he can finish the Mission and get to the arth Galen the Fellowship takes the river. The Lady Galadriel had foreseen, Boromir confronts Frodo after he wanders off and makes an attempt to steal the Ring. Then Uruk-hai scouts ambush the Fellowship, Lurtz, their leader, fatally wounds Boromir for failing to prevent them from kidnapping Merry and Pippin. Before comforting Boromir as he passes away and pledging to aid the people of Gondor in the impending struggle, Aragorn arrives and kills Lurtz. The Frodo decided to go to Mordor alone out of concern that the Ring may corrupt his friends, but he permits Sam to accompany him because of his pledge to Gandalf to watch after him Mr. Frodo and Sam descend the mountain pass as Aragorn Legolas and Gimli head out to save Merry and Pippin.
